WHAT IS A GOSPEL MOVEMENT?

A gospel movement happens when ordinary people—empowered by the Holy Spirit—begin to live

and share the Good News of Jesus in such a way that it multiplies organically. These movements

don’t revolve around platforms or personalities. They’re quiet, grassroots, and deeply local.

They start small: A neighbor praying with a friend, a family reading Scripture at home, a woman

hosting a Bible study in her village. As people encounter Jesus through God’s Word, they begin to

share what they’ve found. Discovery turns into obedience. Obedience leads to transformation.

And before long, a whole region begins to change from the inside out.

That’s the heartbeat of a gospel movement: Not just people becoming Christians, but whole

communities learning to follow Jesus—to the third and fourth generation.

    --  Everyday disciples become disciple-makers

    --  Groups of disciples multiply

--  New disciples organically make even more disciples

--  New believers form new churches

    --  Gospel movements emerge

JESUS' MODEL TO IGNITE
A GOSPEL MOVEMENT

We follow the model Jesus gave in Luke 10—when He sent His followers out two by two.

The instructions were simple: Go in humility, go together, find people of peace, heal the sick,

proclaim the kingdom, and stay where the Holy Spirit is already at work. That’s the DNA behind

every gospel movement we seek to ignite and fuel. Here’s how it plays out on the ground:

We begin by identifying believers already living out their faith in a region (anywhere God

is at work, but especially areas the Gospel is rare to come by). Some are faithfully serving

as pastors and local missionaries, while many are simply everyday believers. We gather

them into teams for encouragement, equipping, and prayer. These aren’t outsiders

parachuting in, but grassroots leaders who already carry God’s heart for their people.

Everything starts with prayer and worship. Our teams begin by covering their

regions in prayer—singing and praying Scripture together, walking through

neighborhoods, interceding by name for villages and families, and asking

God to open hearts.

Everywhere new disciples are made and partnerships are formed, generosity

is also encouraged. Because sowing our resources isn’t just about obedience—

or about providing travel, training, or tools. It’s about joining God in what He’s

doing. When both local believers and global partners sow into the work,

something beautiful happens: The movement gains momentum.

GC [White - _Move w_ Compassion_].png

Just like in Luke 10, our teams go out—not with marketing or megaphones,

but with compassion. They offer prayer, care for the hurting, heal the sick,

and keep an eye out for those who are spiritually open. When they find a

person of peace—someone God has already been drawing—they don’t

invite them to a service. Instead, they help them gather friends and family

to discover God together in His Word.

During these Scripture-centered gatherings, we use a simple, reproducible

format called Discovery Bible Study (DBS). People read Scripture together,

ask and answer honest questions, and begin practicing what they learn

in their everyday lives. No one’s preaching. Everyone’s participating.

People don’t just hear about Jesus—they begin to follow Him.

GC [White - _Multiply Groups_].png

As lives change, groups of new believers begin to multiply naturally—first

among friends and family, then into neighboring communities. Because

they’re small, locally-led, and centered on Scripture, they can multiply

without drawing unwanted attention—critical in areas where the Gospel

is restricted and following Jesus comes at great risk. We’ve seen first-,

second-, and third-generation groups form in a matter of months. Each

new group carries the DNA of discovery, obedience, and sharing.

It’s multiplication by design—and it’s how whole regions are being

transformed and cultures are beginning to shift from the inside out.
